Daughter, student, friend, wife, all some tags used to describe who I am. As I dive deeper into my identity, additional terms appear: Ambitious, Chicana, Strategic, Dedicated. Fundamentally, there are only a few. They change over time as I switch into new chapters of growth. On this page of my story, I am a disciple entering graduate studies in the Fall of 2024. I am a first-generation college graduate, earning my bachelor’s degree. A representative for fellow Mexican-Americans, and could be more. I envision tales of the impact I’ll create. I want to support marginalized communities. To work on campaigns that influence social change. Implement resources for an equitable world. This journey begins with a start: experience. DePaul University enlightened me with skills that aid me. Professors have taught me how to capture a narrative through writing press releases, campaigns, and presentations. Faculty providing opportunities and insights into universal design and community outreach. Memories I cherish as my career continues. There will be new challenges. I search for an environment where flourishing is celebrated. A workspace where the only way you can fail is if you do not learn anything from your experience. To connect with my peers and exchange creativity. With an organization that will help me rise as I help their reach expand. As my next chapter approaches, I hope to see you following along with me.
