I was lucky to have discovered my passion for water treatment and sustainability my sophomore year of high school when I began developing research projects related to water quality and household reuse. This passion carried me to Northwestern University where I earned a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and a Certificate through the Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern (ISEN), and now to a career as a Wastewater Treatment EngineerDuring my time at Northwestern I was able to further explore my interests through research in the Park Lab working on bio-inspired surface structures for enhanced water capture. Additionally, I spent my summers working at the municipal water district in my home town in New York, and at Corteva Agriscience in R&D answering the question of how to study and ensure the stewardship of our environment and waterways while manufacturing new chemicals to support commercial agriculture. I now work on the Industrial Wastewater Treatment team at Samsung Austin Semiconductor(SAS) under the collective aspiration to produce the highest quality water through operational excellence and innovation. In this role I have worked on piloting industry first technology and commissioning advanced wastewater treatment systems. Independently, I am utilizing my background in sustainability and energy to understand SAS's current energy usage and working to implement an initiative to identify areas for improved efficiency.
