Communications, community and events coordination to grow the circles of people supporting Fossil Free South Africa's work - internally within the team and management committee, as well as externally with our voluntary association members and regular donors, partners in other civil society organisations, newsletter subscribers, the hosts of people from previous events and followers on social media.

I part-time tutored a Grade 12 learner in CAPS Life Sciences and English Home Language whilst in my final year of studies.

Completing my final year practical work at StellCare Stellenbosch. StellCare is a child and family welfare organisation working in different impoverished communities in Stellenbosch. I render student social work services to five clients and one group of Grade 6 school learners. I am also currently executing a community work project at a local school focusing on road safety with Grade 3 school learners, and undertaking a research proposal that contributes towards my final year mark. Services that I render include completing Children’s Court applications, therapeutic services, executing campaigns for road safety and awareness and conducting interviews in order to gain more information about a case, as well as other services.

I worked as a BeWell Mentor (with accreditation from Stellenbosch University), with a group of 18 first-year students. I aided in ensuring that their physical, social, and mental wellness, and the adjustment to university, were supported. I did this through various online platforms due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic, I set up physical sessions and meetings with them and provided hands-on support during their Orientation Week at the beginning of the academic year.

I worked as an administrative assistant in the capacity of keeping records relating to COVID-19 regulations. I ensured that the records were kept up-to-date with regards to temperature recording and symptom taking. I also completed tasks relating to filing other company records, receiving quotes for various products and services needed, and ensuring that I monitored government websites for potential tenders.

I worked with a school to begin a community work project in Kayamandi that involves a group of Grade Four learners. The project addresses issues prevalent in their community, such as food insecurity and poor healthcare and sanitation.

I observed the community within the Care Facility and the social services that are available to residents, in order to determine potential community work projects and intervention methods that could aid the residents.

I worked with an elderly client suffering from mental health disorders in a therapeutic capacity.

I worked with a group of Grade Four learners at the school in the capacity of a group student social worker. We were required to plan lessons that taught them various life skills.

I worked with one child from the Pebbles Project every week, to help with their homework and teaching them various lessons such as learning their human rights.
