Ph.D. student, researcher, and therapist dedicated to exploring the intersection of self-harm, suicide, social media, and help-seeking behaviors. My work focuses on developing and implementing evidence-based interventions to address these critical issues, leveraging both clinical expertise and cutting-edge research methodologies. Why do many people prefer to seek mental health help online? Why is it so difficult to prevent and treat self-injurious thoughts and behaviors? How do we make our mental health treatments more accessible, effective, and acceptable to the people who need it most?My research seeks to answer these and other, related questions using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. I'm excited by digital interventions, social media data, and collaboration between technology and clinical science to make care more accessible to and effective for people experiencing mood disorders and/or engaged in self-injurious thoughts and behaviors.
