Conducted research as part of my Economics Honours thesis which looked at inefficiencies in an informal settlement's (Khayelitsha, Cape Town) refuse removal system, including survey design, data capturing, site visits, focus group discussions, regression analysis using STATA and geospatial analysis (mapping) using QGIS, and interviews with local government. Published working paper and two news articles.
