I am a Sophomore in the School of Public Health at Indiana University Bloomington pursuing a degree in Sports Marketing & Management with a minor in Parks and Recreation Administration. I found a love for business and sports through my passion and involvement in my DECA chapter in high school. Through writing numerous business plans, role plays on consulting a failing company, to learning how a company thrives. I'm passionate about the dedication and eager to learn about the sport management and parks and recreational world. Leadership and mentorship; In high school I was heavily involved in numerous clubs and activities such as DECA, AIM, and Cheerleading. Through my DECA chapter I discovered my passion for leadership and mentorship to create the best possible experience a student can have while competing in DECA and finding a welcoming community in high school. I was VP of Career Development where I implement a mentoring program that taught new members how to efficiently study and compete in any given test or role play. Through my leadership positions I developed empathy and effective communication skills with fellow board members and 125+ chapter members. I strive to create and find a community that is passionate about mentorship and helping others become successful and find what they're called to do in life.Management; I currently work as a pool manager managing over 60+ employees on patron safety, customer service, team work, and food service. Having strong leadership and communication skills is crucial for this position to make sure things are being completed and followed correctly.
