APSI qualifications equipped me to convey information effectively, catering to diverse learning styles with empathy.Adaptability is vital. Each student presents unique challenges, from fear to physical limitations. I learned to adjust lesson plans on the fly, adapting strategies for changing conditions and individual needs, applicable in diverse environments.Responsibility and leadership are intrinsic. AURIN is Australia's spatial intelligence network. It is a national collaboration delivering e-research infrastructure and data to empower better decisions for Australia’s urban settlements and their future development. Responsible for the provision of high-level coordination and support to ensure the efficient operation of the AURIN team in focusing processes and systems which underpin the delivery of planned infrastructure. Working with the Director, I was proactive in ensuring the smooth workflow of the project, performing duties which include scheduling of activities, document preparation, committee support, records management, travel arrangements and events management.I worked hard to develop strong working relationships with staff from the University of Melbourne as well as external clients and stakeholders. The nature, diversity and scope of the position required the frequent use of discretion, initiative and independent judgment. I operated with a high level of professionalism, regularly interacting with the internal and external stakeholders as well as dealing with confidential and sensitive issues and documentation.

The Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute (MSSI), facilitates and enables research linkages, projects and conversations leading to increased understanding of sustainability and resilience trends, challenges and solutionsIn this position I was responsible for designing, planning and managing all events such as International conferences (Sustainable Urbanisation 2010 [200 attendees] and Four Degrees or More? 2011 [400 attendees]) , Think Tanks, Workshops, Annual Forums, Public Lectures, Book Launches, Roundtable events etc. Ensuring all events are carried out with respect to the individual institute’s mission statements and the University’s Sustainability Strategy. I established sustainable practices in every aspect of our event management and streamlined procedures for maximum efficiency in promotion and communication of events. We use each event as an opportunity to harvest networking information and connect people across a range of disciplines.I established and maintained collaborative working relationships with internal and external parties in relation to events and ongoing research projects for both centres, including representatives from within University of Melbourne, government, industry, NGO’s and members of the public. • Communicate with Master / Principals in relation to port call activities including coordination and delivery of services in relation to cargo and vessel operations including stevedoring, lodgement of permits with port authority, attending vessels, obtaining customs clearance etc• Closely plan and coordinate cruise vessel port calls.
