Senior Project Officer / Project ManagerAustralian Institute For Teaching And School Leadership (Aitsl) Aug 2010 - Apr 2015Melbourne, AustraliaProject Manager, Partnerships (2015)As Project Manager of the Partnerships team, I was responsible for overseeing AITSL's partnerships with a range of organisations aimed at supporting teacher and school leader improvement and innovation. These partnerships included the Learning Frontiers initiative (below), and the Innovation Bootcamp program - a collaboration between AITSL, Innovation Unit (UK) and State Schools Queensland. Senior Project Officer, Learning Frontiers (2013 - 2015)Learning Frontiers brings together clusters of schools - design hubs - to design professional teaching, learning and assessment practices that promote deep, intellectual engagement in learning. I facilitated design hubs in Adelaide, Canberra and Melbourne, working alongside educators to:- develop exploratory questions that address real issues each school faces relating to engagement- form structures and processes to aid cross-school collaboration- introduce members of the school community to innovation methodologies like rapid prototyping- broker relationships between schools and corporate sponsors, philanthropists and community groups- mobilise parents and community to drive change- collect data about the extent to which students are currently engaged, and the impact of the interventions they design- develop strategies for scaling and diffusing engaging practice.Previous projects include:Illustrations of Practice: video resource development alongside education stakeholders that show how the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers can be enacted by teachers working in different contexts across Australia.
