Driven by my passion to assist others through the uses of engineering and technology, I recently graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor’s degree of science in Biomedical Engineering. My long-term goal is to use my experience and education to help create medical devices that will change people’s lives for the better. During my time in undergrad, I was able to gain experience in assisting others first hand through a GoBabyGo research project, where I collaborated with other engineers and occupational therapists to modify toy ride-on cars for children with disabilities. I was also able to collaborate on a senior design project where we designed and manufactured a cart to lift and transport medical simulators for the College of Nursing at Valparaiso University. These experiences have helped me gain strong collaborative and creative skills that I am eager to bring to new projects. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of projects that are bigger than myself and being able to see the direct impact the new devices and technology can have on the people that need them. I am currently looking for opportunities to work in the medical device field and collaborate with others to bring new ideas and a positive impact to the healthcare world.
