Providing speech-language pathology services under the supervision of a licensed SLP, primarily to pediatric clients in clinic and school-based settings in Mississauga and North York. Other populations include on occasion: adult dementia and aphasia clients (in clinic or virtual).

Dysphagia (CVICU, CICU, MSICU)- Provided clinical bedside assessments, and interventions to adult patients in critical care under the supervision of Jennifer Barker, SLP. Gained experience in conducting and analyzing instrumental assessments (VFSS, FEES). Additionally, provided rehabilitative services to post-stroke aphasia patients in palliative care.

Research Assistant for Tim Bressmann, PhD, in the Voice and Resonance lab at the University of Toronto. Our work focused on oral-nasal balance in speech, contributing to cleft palate research. Responsible for leading vocal warm up and providing voice coaching/feedback to participants to achieve specific resonance targets.

Participated in the fourth cohort for Student-Led Environments to Deliver Virtual Autism Supports for Wait-times (SLED-VAST), https://ipe.utoronto.ca/SLED-VAST. This is an interprofessional Student-Led Environment (SLE) at the University of Toronto, supported by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services’ Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Workforce Capacity Fund. My role was to inform the development of tools to support clinicians' early identification of autism in Northern Ontario. Specifically, I developed the tool format and user design, "Tiers of Support" section for parents, and neurodiversity affirmative and humanistic-healthcare-informed training for clinicians. The SLE curriculum was informed by principles of transformative education, specifically critical pedagogy, and we engaged in questions that fostered critical reflection, examining how norms (specifically around autism and autism practice) are constructed – and how these norms might be deconstructed. This work provided a lens to disrupt potentially harmful assumptions/norms in practice, and to reimagine more collaborative, compassionate ways of being and practicing. The SLED-VAST team, including students, was awarded the Ministry of Colleges and Universities’ 2021/2022 Minister's Awards of Excellence in the category of Future-Proofing Ontario’s Students. Out of 540 nominations, there were 22 winners across 5 categories. SLED-VAST was 1 of 5 winners in the Future-Proofing Ontario’s Students category, which recognizes faculty and staff who have led the way in adapting programs that support new ways of learning. Assisted in the artistic creation and dissemination of therapy materials and resources for clients and S-LP continuing education material with voice care specific content. Editing of this material included consuming 40+ hrs of continuing educational content (Mastersclass for Voice Professionals) on voice disorders (functional, structural etc.) including lectures, as well as mentorship group discussion hours related to cases. Provided admin support, creation of standard operating procedure documents for website landing page development, workshop development, Power of Voice symposium production. Collaborated with Founder and Owner of Melanie Tapson Voice Care on marketing and provided feedback on business strategy (reg. pricing, release dates, new products/events).Was responsible for social media content creation, designed posts using Canva, collaborating on brand colours with founder/owner, scheduled posts and created copy in Latergram, according to data analysis of audience engagement.Created surveys and collected data on audience/client satisfaction.Provided voice over, video editing and production of multiple promotional videos used for marketing on website and social media platforms, creating exceptional professional and engaging content.Proficient with Kajabi website creation platform, Mailerlite, Click Up, Typeform, Zoom, Google Excel, Filmora-Wondershare, iMovie, Garageband, and recording software/audio interface (Scarlett 2i2).

Music Together is an early childhood music education program where children and their caregivers share in songs, rhymes, movement, and instrument play. Music Together offers classes globally for children from birth through kindergarten, in which parents and caregivers actively participate.I led groups of six to twelve children and their parents or caregivers (nannies, babysitters, grandparents, or relatives) in 45 minutes of music and movement experiences in a relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented environment, to support varying developmental needs.As a music together teacher my responsibilities included: -being familiar with & adhering to class policies established by MMT.-following the specific lesson plan that was provided each week-discussing student development, or any problems/situations that may arise in a class with the Director on an as-needed basis via email, text or phone.-distributing to the appropriate families, all class materials provided by the Director, providing support in the administration and organization of said materials, and making announcements on an as-needed basis.-attending professional development Songs and Skills Workshops once per semester-maintaining instruments and props at each location, prepping the studio space and tidying up at the end of the teaching day.

Coordinate the development of an artistic ad hoc group, in producing a new piece of Canadian theatre. Coordinated and managed contracts for special events up to 100 people in the Atlantic Beer Institute and Historical Alexander Keith's Brewery. Assisted the Manager in marketing strategies and creating promotional material. Instructed educational lectures on the history of beer, maintaining product quality, and branding to bar staff and culinary students.
