Oversaw a department with five youth education programs dedicated to increasing access to healthy food, health education, and outdoor time for under-resourced urban schools with limited greenspaceManaged the Farm to Preschool Program with 29 preschool partners, ensuring that all partners had three seasons of on-site garden and cooking lessons, as well as the resources and training to maintain their own gardens. In this role, I recruited 11 new school partners, trained over 100 teachers, and by 2022 there were 221 on-site lessons being taught per year, a 60% increase from 2019.Managed the School Grounds Program, partnering with over 150 schools in 9 counties to develop self-sustained school gardens programs. After identifying a lack of networking and skill building opportunities, I created a free workshop series for teachers and hosted the first School Garden Symposium in collaboration with Paterson Public Schools and the NJ Dept. of Agriculture.Overhauled all program curriculums, creating lesson sequences that were more hands-on, developmentally and culturally appropriate, and addressed systemic inequalities within food systems.Hired, onboarded, and managed the schedule of 4-8 garden educators. I created new onboarding materials, training schedules and teaching guides to ensure new staff were better prepared.Implemented grants, including developing program plans, collecting data, and writing reports

As a residential advisor, I created an inclusive and positive dorm community for 25 incoming freshmen and sophomores. I led orientation activities, hosted weekly study breaks, and had 1-1 meetings with students. When necessary, I connected struggling students to on campus resources for academic work, alcohol problems, and roommate conflicts.

As a field researcher and farm assistant, I designed an experimental research project while also working full time on the farm. I planted experimental plots and monitored their growth, pest abundance, disease susceptibility and herbivory levels. On the farm, I helped with farm tasks including harvesting, weeding, planting, and bridge building and cooked meals 2x per day for 3-8 people daily.
