Emma Chapple is a lawyer with Massey LLP in Toronto. Emma practices at the intersection of litigation, commerce and entertainment. Her expertise includes talent negotiations, licencing and rights management and litigating complex commercial disputes.Emma graduated with a juris doctor from The Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2019. She attended Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, CA in the fall 2018 semester, where she studied media and entertainment law from industry leaders at the Donald E. Biederman Entertainment & Media Law Institute.Prior to law school, Emma graduated from St. Thomas University's journalism programme. In her second year at STU, she founded the first Atlantic Canadian chapter of Her Campus which became one of the top-performing chapters worldwide under her direction. She received the David Adams Richards Prize for Non-Fiction Writing in her third year and graduated with the Prize for Journalism in Fourth Year.In her free time, Emma serves on the communications committee of the Women's Law Association of Ontario and is an enthusiastic TIFF attendee. She also authors the fashion blog "Elevate with Emma," and her cultural commentary has been featured in Vulture and the Wall Street Journal.
