Operations & Support Manager
CurrentResponsible for delivery of the key area of ICT operations supporting the business as usual operation of the Council’s ICT infrastructure. This includes management of a broad range of teams and activities with responsibility for all IT infrastructure, service desk and support, end user devices and digital workplace. Good breadth and depth of technical/specialist expertise in the area of local government ICT infrastructure backed by extensive relevant working experience, and a good understanding of infrastructure challenges/ resolution of problems and issues likely to impact service delivery and operations.Discretion and initiative over a broad range of ICT activities, and is required to use such initiative, knowledge and expertise to assess the operational and support implications of the Council-wide transformation from an ICT perspective, making recommendations in respect of this via the Technology Solutions Manager to senior officers and committees within the organisation.
