Emma Lingle is a Hardware Engineer at X, The Moonshot Factory. Colleagues describe her as "I had the pleasure of mentoring Emma during her MECOP internship at Danner Boots during the Spring-Fall of 2021. In her 6 months with Danner, she taught herself how to code with Arduino, battled scope creep, designed and executed experiments, and created great presentations and analysis of her projects. She created 3 separate light projects to assist the factory floor, one of which produced 50 units that are in daily use helping Danner create the highest quality boots possible. She also created test fixturing to analyze pressures and help reduce damage to tooling in the factory, among a number of other data gathering and analysis projects. Outside of her technical acumen, she is enthusiastic, incredibly self-driven, and a great communicator. She was able to adapt well to working with a myriad of different personalities and make her contributions shine during the short internship period. Her organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to drive projects forward made my job as a mentor very easy, and I strongly believe she will be an invaluable asset to any team she’s a part of in the future. "
