Hello, my name is Emma and I am currently working on a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Systems at Selkirk College after completing a diploma in Recreation, Fish and Wildlife, and GIS. I am working to complete a thesis project in conjunction with the work being completed at Selkirk Innovates as part of the Fisheries Intelligence research. As part of this project, I am working with researchers to leverage remote sensing techniques to understand fisheries ecosystems and inform habitat restoration for species at risk and keystone species in the Columbia River basin. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I am committed to working outdoors using my background in ecological and geospatial research and outdoor recreation to aid in understanding and managing our lands, waters, and the creatures that inhabit them.
