Collaborated with graduate students in the Hybrid Materials Laboratory of Dr. Jie He on several projects with a focus on the use of BSA metal ion complexes as artificial enzymes to perform stereoselective oxidation reactions and the development of cellulose composites for use in strain sensors.

Worked in the Energetic Materials laboratory of Dr. Jimmie Oxley and Dr. James Smith in coordination with the United States Military Academy. Assisted in two major projects including method development and modification a mass spectrometer for detection of specific energetics and the use of GC-MS technology to execute post-blast trace analysis of several explosives.
