Current• Spearhead the planning, development, and execution of a process improvement initiative focused on enhancing the efficiency of the door build line, streamlining operations for six employees directly and six employees indirectly.• Leverage a hands-on, collaborative approach to continuous improvement involving learning the daily workflows of assembly employees over a year-long period and enabling final assembly line optimization and standard work instruction (SWI) documentation improvement for both processes and retraining activities.• Generated a 10-hour reduction in weekly build time, directly contributing to increasing operational capacity.• Achieved $200K+ in annual labor cost savings for the company by bolstering efficiency.• Led the company to achieve BHMA A156.32 recertification through compliance testing, successfully retaining the company’s status as the only door supplier to hold this certification.• Aligned objectives and bridged communications with Project DIAMOND, an initiative aimed at utilizing 3D printers for on-demand PPE printing during the COVID-19 pandemic; managed the 3D printing of parts to assemble tourniquets for Ukraine.
