I am a Junior in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, and I am working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a collateral in Finance. Helping others to develop and embrace their potential is a strength of mine. In my part-time job as a child-care provider, I am solely responsible for assisting children to grow their minds and skills by leading them through activities and crafts and helping them learn skills such as cooking and cleaning. Communication skills in group and public speaking settings are a skill of mine. Throughout my roles in group projects, sorority philanthropy events, and more, I have helped lead, organize, and advertise these experiences by properly communicating with others about what is occurring and what needs to be done.I plan to work in the accounting industry, specifically in auditing, as it has a critical role in maintaining financial integrity. I enjoy the process of examining records due to my analytical mindset. I aim to attend the Master of Accountancy program at the University of Tennessee and then obtain a CPA before joining the workforce. My career goal is to join an accounting firm as an auditor, where I hope to excel and gain lots of experience. After gaining experience as an auditor, I hope to transition into roles such as CFO or financial advisor for small, impactful companies.
