Working with Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service(KADIRS) as a Revenue Account Officer was both challenging ( as it was very tasking & demanding) and exciting (as it offered me a practical learning opportunity in such a corporate setting). Being a Revenue Account Officer entailed that I was responsible for: Collecting taxes and duties owed to Kaduna State Government Perform Reconciliation at the end of every Month Ensuring that tax payments made through the banks have the correct details and are genuine by using online platforms like "Paydirect" among others Issuing of Official Tax Receipt Providing tax assistance to taxpayersEducation and updating taxpayers in the instance of change in tax payment policyAnd any other duty as may be assigned by my Supervisor.Meeting up with these tasking responsibilities required both my soft and hard skills which include: Reconciliation Detail Oriented Effective Communication Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and meaningful collaboration.Working with Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service(KADIRS) is an opportunity that I am grateful for and from which I learned a lot and acquired relevant experience.
