I am a historian and expert on European migration, specialising in the study of free movement in postwar Europe and the emergence of immigration restrictions towards non-European migrants since the 1960s. As the author of "The History of the European Migration Regime" (Routledge, 2018), I delve specifically into the dynamics that shaped the free movement regime within the European Community and the European Union. My contributions to this field aim to transform our understanding of migration as a major element of the European and international order.An alumnus of the École normale supérieure (Ulm, PSL), I hold the French Agrégation in History (2007) and a Graduate Degree in History and International Relations (2009). I furthered my academic pursuits by obtaining a PhD in the History of Europe and International Relations from Sorbonne University in 2014.I am currently affiliated as a Senior Research Fellow at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) in Athens, Greece, and as a Professorial Lecturer at the Vienna School of International Studies.
