Primary Duties:- Assist in project management related activities associated with the life cycle management of CCG infrastructure, including communication towers, Aids to Navigation structures, and related supporting infrastructure such as back-up power, roads, buildings, etc. Activities may include construction planning, estimating, procurement, on-site oversight related to refurbishment or replacement projects, including interactions with contractors, consultants and DFO & CCG staff.- Assist in site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedule, and safety plan.- Assist in coordination/scheduling of construction related activities.- Provide updates on project activity status and assist in project tracking in MS Project.- Assist in drafting using AutoCAD. Drafting could include structural, civil, mechanical, electrical/wiring, architectural, construction and site layout drawings associated with the communication and aids to navigation facilities.- Assist in compiling/entering/creating/updating information on CCGs communication and aid to navigation facilities infrastructure into an internal MS Access database that is currently being developed.- Utilize computer programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Project.- Assist with researching and reporting on new technologies related to CCGs infrastructure (e.g. energy efficiency, high performance coatings, corrosion protection, etc.)
