As a research assistant at the University of Houston, I conduct extensive research on macroalgae species, studying their growth patterns, nutritional content, and potential applications in biotechnology. I apply advanced laboratory skills and techniques, such as DNA extraction, PCR, and CRISPR-Cas9, to manipulate and modify the genetic material of the algae. I also collaborate with other researchers and professors, contributing to scientific publications and presentations.In addition to my research experience, I have a strong educational background in biotechnology, holding a Bachelor of Science degree and currently pursuing a Master's degree in the same field from the University of Houston. I have a solid foundation in various areas of biotechnology, including molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, and genetic engineering.
