The LéO Africa Review is an independent publication affiliated to the LéO Africa Institute. It is an East-Africa-focused magazine for ideas and culture.

Responsibilities included: Oversight of all Institute programmes and activities. Partner relationships management and execution of the Institute’s fundraising strategy.Accomplishments included:- Led team that conceptualized the Young and Emerging Leaders Project (YELP) Fellowship which in three years inducted 67 Fellows across 8 African countries - National Coordinator for a EUR 1.5m 3-year regional Project "Great Lakes Youth Network for Dialogue and Peace" in partnership with the EU and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. Project targets DRC, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi- Streamlined organization programs to align with 2017-2022 Strategic Plan - Increased Institute grant portfolio to over $200,0000 through creative programming, effective lobbying and partner relationship management

As National Coordinator - Uganda, I was a member of the project team implementing the EUR 1.5m project “Great Lakes Youth Network for Dialogue and Peace. Our Diversity - our Opportunity!” funded by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) and the EU and implemented by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the partners: Actions for Democracy and Local Governance (ADLG), Cornerstone Development Africa, LéO Africa Institute, Pole Institute, Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle (VJN). I was responsible for project activities in Uganda under the supervision of the Project Manager. The main tasks included: planning, preparation and implementation of national and regional activities implemented in Uganda and the support of regional activities in other project countries.

As a Contributor to Nairobi-based Africa data visualizer site:- Created specialized content, data stories, features and general content articles- Wrote feature Africa data stories on subjects such as education, malaria and urbanization

In charge of programming and coordination of the organization’s activities, including drawing up annual work plans, writing concept notes and managing partner relations. Developing funding proposals to prospective partners and seeking collaborations with other organizations that are involved in leadership development and training. Accomplishments included:• In collaboration with partners, successfully organized two LéO Africa Economic Forum events in Kampala. The conferences attracted a total of over 500 participants from across the East African region who included heads of government ministries, CEOs, private sector players, civil society and academia• Led team that produced the LéO Africa Review – an East Africa focused quarterly magazine that is focused on young and emerging leaders in the region• Managed day-to-day running of programmes at the institute, including review and assessment of progress on various projects and activities• Was part of technical working group to develop strategy for decent rural youth employment in agriculture (2016-2020) convened by FAO and Ministry of Agriculture in Uganda
