My most recent years of experience are from teaching English in China at an English training institute. I focused on students that were between the ages of 3 and 15. It was quite new and interesting at the same time. The Chinese culture emphasizes efficiency and hard work, from both students and teachers. Before teaching I spent most of my late teenage years as well as early twenties doing community/social development type work. I volunteered for various initiatives including some of my own that I ran for a few months. This is where my passion is and always will be. I have done an internship at the Department of Social Development in my final year of my Bachelor of Sociology. The year after, I was a part of the Ashley Kriel Community Development scholarship program where I completed my post graduate studies in Leadership in Community Development (Honors).
