Third year student, future software Engineering student. My passion in technology brought me to study B.Sc in Computer Science at Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro, Delta State (DSUST). In my first year, I was introduced to Computer Science which covered the Generations of Computer, that is how Computer has evolved overtime, Introduction to programming where I made use of flowcharts, Pseudocodes for Algorithms, We were introduced to the graphical packages where I currently earn a living from as a graphic designer and also how the Operating System(OS) works.In my second year, I learnt about Database, Python, Java and web development in which we talked about the client side and the server side. We made use of markup language like HTML, for styling a website, we made use of CSS and for functionality of the website, we used JavaScript.The most valuable lesson I learnt from DSUST has been that programming is not learnt in a day and for you to be a very good programmer, you must code everyday.Even though I knew I wanted to be a software Engineer, I have enjoyed learning the different career paths in Computer Science like Graphics and Designs.Last year I mastered Photoshop, Corel Draw, HTML/CSS, Pixelab. I continue to build skills in programming like programming in Python, Java and JavaScript. This year, I hope to complete an internship with programming firm that will provide real-life experience and important technological skills.
