- Coordinate and supervise due diligence by buyers at India assigned to the same project, help them to escalate any delay or issue with the supplier -Manage relationships with key suppliers of raw materials, production equipment and supplies to ensure a consistent supply of materials to meet operating requirements-Initiate and coordinate activities and projects with suppliers to reduce cycle times, raw material expenditures and other associated costs. -Identify new sources of supply that fit into the organization’s cost, quality and logistical model-Monitor supplier performance regarding their ability to meet production requirements-Work closely with the Project team and ensure that all required items are ordered in a timely manner at the most economic quantity and lowest cost in order to meet production requirements while simultaneously minimizing inventory exposure at the factory and in the supply chain -Follow up and expedite “hot” materials-Work closely with a number of other departments within the organization (e.g.Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Accounting, etc.) and with the suppliers to successfully attain objectives -Validate and implement engineering changes to purchase contracts-Reconcile and remedy any issues between suppliers, purchase order contracts, receiving and accounts payable -Track and report out cost/spend information to project team, includingspend forecasting based on project requirements.
