Responsible for the strategic direction of the BASF Agriculture solutions sales in 8 Southern African countries (Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Reunion, Zambia & Zimbabwe).

Responsible for generating, coordinating, promoting and supporting all new and/or existing product stewardship activities across Africa and the Middle East (AME). Foster effective skills transfer and use of available stewardship tools and materials, creating new materials on demand as to maintain BASF AP’s licenses to operate and differentiation from competition across AME.

Responsible for all scientific and regulatory work for Southern Africa region. The work includes product development, technical training, conducting registration and efficacy trials and developing labels for crop protection products. The countries responsible for include Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana, Angola, Mauritius and Madagascar.

CropLife Africa & Middle East (CLAME) is and an affiliate of CropLife International (CLI), registered as an international non-profit organization in Brussels in November 2002. CropLife AME is made up three regional steering committees Public Affairs & Communication Committee, Regional Regulatory Committee and the Stewardship Committee. The main function of the Stewardship committee is to advocate and steer through national associations, the responsible and ethical management of crop protection products throughout their entire life-cycle in Africa & Middle East (AME).

Agricultural Inputs Manager Functions;Responsible for marketing and sales of crop protection and nutritional products.Responsible for the products technical back up and capacity building to internal and external stakeholders. Liaison with agricultural inputs suppliers, industry partners and government regulators.Market survey and mapping, sales strategy formulation and control of credit and debt portfolio.Responsible for conducting product trials development and assessment of new molecules from suppliers.General management of the department human resources, budget formulation and stock management. Evaluating and review of unit accounting parameters (costs, margins and ratios).

Managing the Agronomy section of the department of Agriculture, Zambia Sugar Plc.•Planning, leading, organising, and controlling labour and various agronomy resources and activities according to the Budget.•Planning and preparation of annual budgets, in terms of labour, physical materials and revenue requirements.•Besides the agronomy section, also managing the estate Parks and Gardens, by growing and maintaining Lawns and Flowers around the estate.•Managing a work force of more than 500 permanent and seasonal workers.

•Conducting Variety, fertilizer, and Herbicide trials in order to monitor and check the performance and improve on the prevailing regime.•Conducting soil and leaf sampling of the fields for analysis and recommendations on the nutrition status. •Monitoring of fertilizer/herbicide application, to ensure that the correct rates and placement are adhered to in the fields according to the established standards.•Monitoring of fertilizer quality, so that the right fertilizers are delivered to the estate, in conformity with the company specifications. •Water quality monitoring, by sampling and analysing water from the sampling points of interest. In order to provide reliable information in relation to the use of appropriate adjuvants in herbiciding water and also the use of proper irrigation water in the fields.•Managing the meteorological station, to collect and provide reliable weather data to management for decision making.
