I am dedicated to consultancy and building new business and value models from waste streams in agro-food and related industries. Inspired by Blue Economy, I have contributed to several initiatives around the Brussels Blue Economy Group. A large scale urban farming scheme was projected and a pilot in small aquaponics was built. Both revealed to be non-sustainable. I am now focusing on secundary organic streams originating from agro-food industry and professionnal catering in urban areas.I am managing director of an independent yacht charter agency, for more than 20 years now. I founded Sail and Sun Cruises (www.sailandsun.com), a specialist agency in yacht charter and nautical events in 1993.Our specialty is Luxury Yacht charter, although we remain active in bare boat charter and we are occasionally involved in special interest cruises for small groups, in nautical incentives, in meetings and events.I have taken over a professionnal Dry Cleaning and Laundry in 2009. This business went through a turn-around in 2012 and is now profitable again. I am very focused on helping to make this industry sustainable, reducing waste streams (packaging and end-of-life textiles), introducing non-polluting cleaning technologies and reinventing its value proposition. As a consultant to the national federation of textile services (FBT-online.be) I am involved in facilitating the full understanding of toxicity of the dry cleaning industry and clarifying long term policies.
