In this role, I am responsible for providing personalized guidance and support to students in the scholarship application process. I assist students with researching scholarships, developing application strategies, and crafting compelling essays. I also conduct individual coaching sessions and provide feedback on application materials.

As an admissions consultant it's my responsibility to work with students anywhere from grade 6-12, helping them identify opportunities to build their profile for college and draft compelling application documents. I manage relationships with college applicants and families while providing strategic and tactical guidance on school selection, essays, resumes, recommendations, interviews, and the overall admissions process.I also Identify optimal universities for individual students; provide feedback and guidance to students regarding their research on university majors, programs, and relevant resources. I support students with project planning, help them create and stick to effective timelines through excel-based trackers. I work closely with students to create effective personal statements and essays by giving them direction on structure, editing their work, and helping them craft strong narratives, while maintaining their voice.Furthermore, I stay up-to-date on the college admissions process and programs to advise prospective and existing clients on appropriate school selection and the nuances of applying to college.

My role consists of designing and facilitating a curriculum that engages 200+ low-income high school seniors every year in order to walk them through all aspects of the college application, financial aid, and matriculation process.I also closely assist a caseload of 65 high school seniors every year to ensure they matriculate into college and other post-secondary careers. I've played a significant role in students attending colleges such as Stanford, UChicago, Northwestern, University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Boston University, Grinnell College, and University of Miami, among others.

In this role, I guided a group of 16 scholars through every stage of the college application process. I informed and engaged families on the steps of the college application and financial aid process. I also documented specific details of each counseling session into CS Connect database, which helped me to easily identify where each student was at in their individualized journey.

Conducted research with Dr. Cliff Broman, from the Michigan State University sociology department. Project investigates the role of educational attainment, in combination with gender and racial/ethnic differences, in young adult non-medical prescription opioid and stimulant use and use disorders.
