i am responsible for promoting the understanding of gender and GBV issues among Nigerian government officials, in particular within the judicial branch, Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Women Affairs as well as managing a GBV response and prevention program at the field level.i will also work with the GBV coordinator to oversee project activities.

will be supervising IPC and COVID-19 PSS staff to provide technical and programmatic leadership for the community-based mechanisms in operational areas. conduct regular field visits or as may be required in order to ensure IPC and PSS tasks are going on as planned and mentoring- through technical backstopping and training of duty bearers.

• As a Community mobilization Officer, my responsibilities are but are not limited to initiating, mobilizing and conducting GBV related training (i.e. PSS, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Caring for Child Survivors (CCS).
• Worked with other prevention staff to form and monitor VSLA across Michika, Hong, Maiha, Mubi North and South, Yola North and south all of Adamawa state.
• Formed EMAP groups in the above mention locations of Adamawa state.
• As a Community Engagement Officer, established collaborative relationships with key partners, local authorities including the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, the national police, and medical personnel.
• In coordination with the Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) training assistants, assist with community mobilization for all GBV training and activities.
• In collaboration with the EA$E officer assist in the assessment, awareness-raising session and formation of EA$E groups.
