As a frontline worker at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Kamloops Branch, I support individuals who are experiencing mental health challenges, homelessness, or substance use issues. With over two years of experience in this role, I have developed strong skills in crisis management, mental health first aid, and food safety. I am also CPR and VCA certified, which enables me to respond effectively to emergency situations and ensure a safe working environment.My passion for helping others and creating positive change drives me to pursue a dual degree in Economics & Political Science and Philosophy at Thompson Rivers University. I believe that these fields of study will equip me with the knowledge and critical thinking skills to address the complex and interrelated issues that affect our society and environment. In addition, I have a background in web design and culinary arts, which reflects my creativity and versatility. I have designed and implemented websites for various companies, and I have worked as a head chef at a restaurant, where I taught and mentored kitchen staff and adjusted orders to satisfy guests' needs.
