About Emma Obita

Embracing unconventional paths has enriched my journey as a brand strategist with a passion for social impact. My story began at the cross point of cultural diversity; I was born in Zambia to Ugandan parents then raised in Botswana. My colourful upbringing has allowed me to experience and celebrate the strength in diversity, which has fuelled my ability to craft compelling narratives for the brands that I’ve worked with. I studied Finance at the University of Botswana, but an unexpected drama course ignited my love for storytelling. I then embarked on an artistic adventure in the UK, working with a national arts organization where I led drama workshops, championed Brazilian methodology for social enterprises in Britain, and wore multiple creative hats.Transitioning to corporate, I honed my insights into environmental, social, and governance issues at a global FMCG company. This experience ignited my desire to drive African business growth, leading me back to Botswana. As an experiend brand strategist, I have leveraged my passion for storytelling as a powerful tool to help brands reveal the heart of who they are, bringing audiences closer.  My unique position at the crossroads of various disciplines enables me to bring different worlds together. I'm a connector of people and ideas and here's the best part: my superpower as a leader lies in uniting teams through compassion and empathy, and watching them thrive in harmony. The driving force behind my life has always been a passion for the arts, and my belief that creativity has the power to shape the world. I'm dedicated to using my skills and experiences to create social impact, foster innovation, and forge meaningful connections.
