National Manager Of Environment, Carbon And Heritage
Brisbane, Australia
As National Manager of Environment, Carbon and Heritage, I lead a small, high-performing team in the investigation and development of innovative environmental and social enterprises that break new ground and create bespoke commercial opportunities for Indigenous people, while also enabling the protection of important cultural and environmental landscapes. Some of the areas we are engaged in include carbon farming, biodiversity markets, biochar production, farm forestry, beef herd management, biofuels and much more. We also assist the ILC's commercial beef and tourism subsidiaries to adopt environmental best-practice approaches. We seek to leverage co-investment in these areas through innovative financing mechanisms such as impact investing (social and green bonds), revolving funds, loans, crowd-sourcing, philanthropy and other ways of unlocking corporate, government, community and individuals value.
