The highlight of my time with WISPIRG was researching, writing, and generating media coverage around the report “Millennials on the Move: A Survey of Changing Transportation Trends and How They Can Help Wisconsin Thrive."In the fall of 2018, I worked with Illinois PIRG to run the "New Voters Project" student voter registration campaign at two Illinois colleges, UIC and NIU. My campaign succeeded in registering 1000 college students to vote and increasing voter turnout through rigorous get-out-the-vote efforts. To achieve this success, I recruited and trained a team of 10 core volunteers and over 50 other student volunteers. Additionally, I managed two remote interns and planned a statewide student voter registration training with 30 attendees from universities around the state.Each of my two summers with Impact, I ran fundraising, membership-building canvass offices on behalf of WISPIRG and Wisconsin Environment. I recruited, hired, trained, and managed a staff of 10+ canvassers. As the lead Canvass Director, I also managed two Assistant Directors, and was responsible for our budget, payroll, and hitting fundraising and campaign goals.
