Virtual East Coast Program (Telehealth)

-Provides evidence-based practices to treat eating disorder diagnoses and co-occuring disorders in collaboration with medical professionals to promote medical stability and nutrition rehabilitation.-Works in an interdisciplinary team to treat individuals with various eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, EDNOS at the PHP and IOP level of care.-Leads virtual meal and snack support groups. Supports milieu interventions that address appropriate meal time behavior, portioning, and meal time goals.-Reviews patient's lab results, weights, and vitals to provide appropriate medical nutrition therapy.-Develops and implements virtual curriculum, leading psychoeducational groups including the following topics: Intuitive Eating, nutrition science, nutrition in the news, kitchen skills, and menu planning.-Meets with patients and their families weekly for nutrition counseling sessions and to assesses their progress in treatment.-Creates a meal plan that is individualized for each patient. Teaches them how to plate their meals and snacks appropriately following the guidelines book.-Collaborates with outpatient providers to provide quality patient care. When applicable, assists patient with creating an outpatient team to continue to receive treatment upon discharge.
