Studying The Future Of Sustainability Management At Cambridge
2024 was a year of meaningful reflection and growth. Creating an opportunity to take time for myself, I returned to study. Being deeply passionate about sustainability, exploring this area in greater depth, naturally drew my curiosity. I loved learning about the complexity and interconnectivity of global and business challenges. Initially feeling confronted by the scale and complexity of the challenge at hand, we we’re encouraged to sit in the discomfort. By using tools to break down the problem, we learnt how it’s possible for business to drive positive change.

When I joined the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA), I was stepping into the heart of the Media and Marketing Industry. It was a time of incredible change at AANA, and I was initially entrusted to "reset" RESET, the premier marketing conference, drawing together CMOs from across the country. It was an opportunity I truly embraced, and it marked the beginning of a rewarding journey. As my role evolved, my responsibilities expanded to lead member engagement. Working closely with members and other leaders from across the industry, I achieved meaningful growth in both membership and events. Ensuring that our members had a seat at the table to shape the future of the industry. More fulfilling for me, was fostering a sense of community, belonging and connection amongst our diverse membership.Under the guidance of the remarkable industry leaders who sat on the board, I had the privilege of working directly with CMOs from top tier advertisers including Arnott’s, Coles, Google, Lion, McDonald’s, Nestle, Telstra, Toyota, Westpac, and Woolworths. My time at AANA certainly cemented my passion for the industry, demonstrating how marketing can be a powerful force for good.

Stepping into my role at AdNews, Australia's most established trade publication since 1928, marked a pivotal chapter in my career.During the time when Paul McIntyre and Rosie Baker helmed the editorial team, I was eager to build on my previous agency-side experience and dive into the industry.
