I believe that everyone is fundamentally okay and has the capacity to change. I'm passionate about working with people, and I have a particular interest in working with trauma. For me, therapy isn't about asking, "What's wrong with you?", but rather, "What's happened to you?", processing your thoughts and feelings, and exploring how you can move forwards.Other issues I work with include relationships, stress, anxiety, personality disorders and trauma.I am an Accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS), a certified Adult Mental Health First Aider, hold an Enhanced DBS check, and am fully insured.I have a BA (Joint Hons) in English & Philosophy from the University of Hull, and have worked in a variety of sectors, including housing, offender rehabilitation, and with young people.

  I work with adults (persons over 18 years old) presenting with a range of issues, but with a particular focus on trauma and relationships. My core training is in integrative and transactional analysis, which basically means that I use techniques from several different types of therapy that I think are most suitable for the individual client.Counselling and psychotherapy sessions are available online and face-to-face from my office in Hull city centre, and I can work with clients on a short- and long-term basis depending on individual needs. I am committed to undertaking opportunities for Continued Professional Development, and have completed training for working with bereavement, an introduction to CBT, a certificate in working therapeutically with groups, and Mental Health First Aid (Adults - Two Day course).I am a certified Adult Mental Health First Aider, hold an Enhanced DBS check, and am fully insured.
