In my role as lead reporting radiographer, I lead a team of plain film reporting radiographers. As well as my own clinical practice reporting MSK and chest radiographers, I ensure I engage with the other three pillars of advanced practice. I lead a robust peer review system within the department which celebrates excellency as much as it ensures learning is made from discrepant cases. I deliver teaching to a number of stakeholders who engage in image interpretation as part of their role including emergency nurse practitioners, podiatrists, advanced critical care practitioners, radiography students, rotational radiographers, trainee reporting radiographers and radiology registrars. I am involved in formal peer reviewed research with two publications in 2020 with my dissertation thesis manuscript currently being peer reviewed. I encourage my team to elevate their practice from enhanced to advanced level practice.I sit on a number of departmental, trust and pan-London steering groups. A main focus of mine currently is the development of advanced and consultant level practice not only within the reporting team, but the rest of the radiology department and beyond. I recently won Diagnostic Radiographer of the year at the JCA Seminars Radiology Awards.
