Working to increase parliamentary awareness of and campaigning on retail crime and violence, skills, apprenticeships and training, diversity and inclusion in the retail sector, and sustainability issues.I sit on numerous Home Office Task and Finish Groups under the National Retail Crime Steering Group.

Person-centred support is a core philosophy of Creative Support and it played a big part in my role. My job was to listen to service users - whether they live independently, receive regular support visits, or live in a Creative Support service - to find out what activities would enrich their lives and make those activities happen. I worked with a diverse range of services - mental health, homelessness, learning disabilities, autism specific, and housing related - across Scunthorpe, Grimsby, and Doncaster.Key Areas:- Supporting services through contract monitoring audits and CQC inspections- Managing and encouraging service user involvement- Deliver training on Effective Communication, Good Record Keeping, Co-Production and Service User Involvement, and Person Centred Approaches- Developed a wide ranging, interactive, and engaging 4-week tenancy programme for a homelessness service- Achieved National Autistic Society "Autism Accreditation"- Write and edit various newsletters for clients, family members, and professionals- Create marketing material- Represent Creative Support at recruitment and information events across the region- Sit on Creative Support's Autism Practice Group

•Content Management - maintaining John’s online presence through various media including Twitter, Facebook, and his website•Researching topics and creating briefing documents for John prior to TV appearances, events, interviews, etc•Arranging diary events for John including helping to form his schedule during Liberal Democrat party conference.•Report writing on a variety of topics•Organising events to raise money for Manchester Liberal Democrats including dinners, a comedy night and selling promotional items at party conference.
