With over 10 years of experience in customer service, my primary goal and professional drive have always been focused towards ensuring client satisfaction and meeting the needs of others. After being "stuck in a rut" for some time, I asked myself, why am I not putting my strongest skills and qualities to use in an environment where it can be of value and benefit to others?By taking the plunge and exploring my own career development, I found myself eager to expand my knowledge of Career and Employment Consulting in order to help others in their own career exploration, employment preparation, further education and goal setting. In drawing on my educational experiences in the Career Development Practitioner Program at Conestoga College, this ultimately led me to recently complete the Master of Education in Student Affairs program at Wilfrid Laurier University with a goal of supporting post-secondary students in their career development.While I do love travelling to warm places, trying all the different cuisines the world has to offer, and playing with all furry friends, I aspire to help students grow professionally by encouraging them to be the best version of themselves.I look forward to connecting with career and student affair professionals and learning with those dedicated to helping others find satisfying, motivating and rewarding professional futures!
