I was a postdoctoral research fellow in a Pulmonology lab at the University of Iowa. My focus has been on the intersection of health and air pollution. I study the health effects of particulate matter on human airway epithelial cells, with specific focus on how indoor exposures, including biomass exposures, may reduce innate immunity. Additionally, I have strong interest in reducing human exposure to diesel and black carbon.
