Marketing and social media serve as the foundation for the success of businesses, products, and organizations, influencing people's perspectives and motivating them to take action. During my time at Slippery Rock University, I delved into the intricacies of communication and integrated marketing communication. While my professors and classes laid the groundwork, I sought real-world experience beyond the classroom. My journey began with joining Rock PRSSA and collaborating with the President's Wellness Commission. Through this engagement, I had the opportunity to craft Instagram content using Adobe Illustrator and contribute to the production of their monthly newsletter. Subsequently, I pursued two internships—one in communications and the other as a social media intern—at Keystone Safari Zoo and the nonprofit organization U4U Teen. These internships provided hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator, Canva, onsite photography, event planning, communication research, blog post and caption writing, and overseeing a brand/organization's social media platforms.Classroom opportunities also came my way, leading me to collaborate with The Boys and Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania in my PR & IMC Campaigns Capstone. In this role, I served as a researcher and contributed to the development of a winning campaign that aimed to attract donors through STEM-related messaging. These experiences allowed me to refine my skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Wordpress, Adobe Indesign, interpretation, photography, and basic video editing. As a quick learner, I am adept at honing my skills to create high-quality content for any occasion.
