Full-time college student at St. Mary's College of Maryland (graduate in 2027) with a strong focus and declared major in Marine Science with a minor in art. I am actively involved on campus: clubs, volunteering, and part of the WISH Program- women in STEM. I am a TA for the Self Defense (2 credit class) that is offered at the college. I am currently working in retail as a cashier and work in returns at Marshalls. I have a strong focus on environmental preservation, working with marine life, and doing research. I have experience in coming up with my own research projects, writing lab reports, and presenting my findings. I am open to new opportunities; I have a strong work ethic, and I am highly organized as I make sure things have an order and not out of place for instance, while working in the lab and working with data. I am helpful, hardworking, reliable, I have good communication skills as I have to communicate with customers at my job at Marshalls, I am responsible and diligent. I also have leadership skills- being an aid for the guidance office, being a camp counselor, taking initiative on projects, and being a TA for self-defense and many more, and I have a lot of volunteer experience. I had signed up to become a volunteer for the St. Mary's River Watershed Association. I am hoping to gain more experience in research as I want to do research in the future most likely Graduate School and work towards a career in the marine science field and do field work and work with marine life specifically sea turtles.
