– Responsible for opening and closing the Sports Center– Responsible for day to day operations - to include safety and security of the Sports Center and all patrons in the facility.– Serves as the primary contact for any issues that may arise in the facility.– Provides support to Event Supervisor for any assistance they may need during events taking place within the facility.– Supervises and manages the front desk areas. Enforces facility policies and procedures.– Adheres to and execute the department's risk management plan.– Has a working knowledge of programs and events scheduled within the facility.– Works with a variety of University and non-University programs ranging from Athletics, Fit at Simmons, COF Intramural sports, Club Sports, COF Dance, Community Rentals, and more.– Disseminates knowledge of all Simmons University Recreation programs and services.– Answers questions from visitors, including from university tour groups, and individuals calling the Sports Center on the phone.– Processes membership, product, and registration sales.– Supervises the facility access control systems.– Completes incident reports and submit facility work orders, as needed.– Ensures lifeguards arrive on time for their shifts and communicate with Aquatics staff when issues arise.– Embraces and fosters our values (Safe, Fun, Clean, Sense of Belonging).– Assists with staff trainings. – Other duties as assigned.
