As a Vice President of Women in Engineering and Computer Science at UVic, I work closely with a group of women to foster community and growth in the field. I have a biomedical engineering and data science background, pursuing a Bachelor's degree and a Minor in these fields from the University of Victoria. I have over two years of work experience, including a previous role as a Sales Associate at Lululemon, where I applied my knowledge of sports biomechanics and qualitative biomechanics to help customers find the best fit and performance for their athletic needs. I also gained valuable hands-on experience as a Civil Engineering Lab Technician Intern at J.R. Paine & Assoc. Ltd., where I assisted with various tests and analyses of soil and concrete samples. Some of the skills I use in my current and past roles are proctoring, data analysis, and communication. My core competencies are creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. My mission is to use my passion for sports and engineering to positively impact health and wellness. My main field of interest is sports biomechanics, and my values and goals are aligned with promoting diversity, inclusion, and innovation in the sports industry.
