The Community Health sector works to promote general health and wellbeing in local underserved communities by providing educational tools and resources focused on improving nutrition, exercise, mental health, and personal hygiene. I have worked to lead a team in designing various curriculums, each adhering to the specific needs of the facilities we have.

I have participated in creative writing programs focused on storytelling, expressing originality and voice, and navigating the drafting, editing and publishing process for the past four years. In addition to that, I have assisted instructors as an intern for younger writing workshops.

NOVA Science Studio is a virtual program for high schoolers across the U.S. that teaches video production, science communication, and storytelling in journalism, while promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM. The program combines accessible resources with experienced instructors to help encourage the next generation of science communicators.

This virtual science communication internship consisted of helping research, brainstorm, and script science-based social media content, writing pitch emails, and creating engaging infographics. Through this position, I practiced interpreting scientific content, completing both long and short-term writing and creative tasks, and becoming somewhat familiar.

WIT - Whatever It Takes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit centered around teaching social entrepreneurship to teens. Through the programs WIT offers, the instructors and participants focus on fostering leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, and relationship building/networking skills. I have been in the College Credit program, Camp WIT, and WIT Community.
