Continuing to lead the Rathbones Financial Planning team and extending oversight to the Rathbones Trust Company; bringing Rathbones advisory services together and aligning them with the business's client service and growth oriented strategy.

Leading the financial planning team at Rathbones and building on the work of the past 3 years to ensure we give high quality advice and planning to our clients.

Part of the leadership team of Rathbones Financial Planning, I was responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of our strategy. My focus was in 3 key areas:- Building a strong team- Promoting team working and individual specialisms- The commercial delivery of high quality adviceDrawing on my particular area of expertise as the definition and development of the non-advice team roles as pivotal to quality, commerciality and timeliness; enabling financial planners to focus on the relationship with the client whilst ensuring that advice is delivered to a high standard and is highly personal.

A role created for me and reporting to Towry ExCo. Responsible for the technical leadership of the near 100 strong paraplanner team.

Designed and developed the structure for the newly formed Wealth Planning team in 2010. Created a national approach to workflow, quality checking, recruitment, induction and development of new team members as well as team building and buddying to new managers as they joined the team. In 2011 we began the project to replace the current financial planning software and design of the new advice templates which successfully went live in July 2013. Ongoing project work includes a full review of Towry advice templates, working with the Plain English Company to increase the accessibility of our written advice and further work to bring the new financial planning software into the advice templates to provide comparison tools to Towry paraplanners and improved graphics into the advice templates.

Recruited to work with a Senior Client Partner delivering financial planning advice to high net worth individuals. Developed the Holistic Financial Planning report, designed and delivered training to 100+ advisers and paraplanners on how to position and create the HFP report (in addition to the day job supporting an SCP). Template design, recruitment and development of other paraplanners.

Establish and recruit administration and paraplanning staff to the newly opened Reading office of EY Financial Management. Manage the Reading office admin team and the Southampton office admin and paraplanning team. Part of the national management team of EYFM charged with creating a consistent, branded, approach EY advice.

Recruited to sample and improve the quality of customer correspondence. Monthly letter audit, correspondence and English workshop design and delivery, service delivery reviews, 1-1 coaching on written communication, complaints handling, high net worth customer accounts.
