Emma Wells Email and Phone Number
I am a fifth year PhD student. I do research evaluating risk management approaches in drinking water utilities. I am co-advised by Dr. Amy Javernick-Will and Dr. Karl Linden. With a background in global health, I have worked as a program manager for an organization in rural Guatemala and as an ORISE fellow conducting global Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Through these positions, I witnessed the complex intersection of socio-cultural and environmental factors in development. She chose to pursue a PhD in Environmental Engineering at CU Boulder to further understand this dynamic and gain skills for a career in sustainable development. Outside of work, I love skiing, mountain biking, and eating dark chocolate peanut butter cups.
