As part of my doctorate, I spent time as an intelligence analyst for the UK Home Office, both to contribute my expertise on the ways in which religious extremists exploit territorial loss as a recruitment tool and to further my understanding of recent trends in counter violent extremism and counter-terrorism efforts. I produced policy papers for a variety of stakeholders and contributed to the unit's COVID-19 response.
