PAM permits a researcher to rapidly pre-screen samples at the lab bench, thereby reducing the number of samples sent to costly and time consuming GC/MS analysis.

• Developed program implementation plan, based on business model created by Program Directors, which set milestones within a 12 month period. Directed activities of a team of five people accountable for the implementation of outreach initiatives that reached over 125,000 people, exceeding previously established program milestones.• Led program services outreach to educational community in eight- county region consisting of 121 School Districts. Assumed role of Program Sales Representative with four-county territory consisting of 75 School Districts. Excelled in this sales role. Established professional relationships with multiple levels of district leadership. Over 9 month period, successfully generated program partnerships with over 95% of all districts within eight county region.• Directed the expansion of target audience, after 6 months, to advance the program’s strategic plan after successfully achieving all previously established milestones. Supervised the activities of “Community Outreach” team, which consisted of one employee and one intern. Community outreach initiative met updated program milestones.• Developed new business plan for program. Evaluated the current program to define product offering, assess the market need, and identify the potential customer base. • Investigated proposed medical device and categorized components into two categories; those which required custom design and fabrication and those which could be acquired from vendors. Identified and evaluated 150 potential vendors, strategic partners, and system integrators that could aid in prototype development and instrument manufacture. Then established vetting criteria which pared this survey down to a manageable “short list”. Through my efforts, the time table for production of prototype was reduced by 6 months.

• Evaluated eight business plans from local pharmaceutical and biotech firms seeking funding opportunities through the New York State Center for Advanced Technology (NYS CAT). Ranked plans based after calculating the net present value of their future cash flows. Sought out and consolidated the recommendations of several local industry leaders, presented all findings to Dr. LaVigne, and recommended two plans for the available funding.• Assumed leadership role in the creation of an innovative economic development program. Developed and wrote program curriculum and content, worked with marketing team to position the program, led focus group meetings, and presented program concept to potential users. Program successfully transitioned from concept to a phase-one program on schedule.
